Emma D on the occasion of her Big Day.
Previously i had photographed Emma nude with two other women in a disused and derelict Victorian mental asylum during the 'Gin and Bare it' weekend. Having never met her again subsequent to that somewhat bizarre occasion, three years later out of the blue she asked me to photograph her wedding; a request which was incredibly flattering and, despite not having been away in the intervening years (and therefore having to overcome masses of anxiety and problems associated with leaving home again for the first time), was a pleasure to do.
So, all in all, i guess this is a pretty apposite bookend to my Tumblr blog.

500 posts and i'm done.
The problem with being a blogger of original work as opposed to a blogger of other people's work is that i need a constant supply of my own photographs. And alas on that front my personal well has run dry. So rather than outstay my welcome and scrape a barrel that in truth i feel like i have been scraping for a while now (i only ever took about a dozen half decent photographs in my entire life and they were all posted a long, long time ago) i'd rather stop than carry on posting sub-standard work just for the sake of it.
I will continue to reappear from time to time but only to reblog and recycle previously posted photographs for the benefit of those who may have missed them the first time around. There will however be no more new work.
Many thanks to the 700 odd (and quite a few of you are quite odd) followers that i have acquired over the past few months and many thanks for your kind words and messages about my work during that time.
On a personal note i need to to take a step back from all this (paradoxically i find social networking very isolating) and start concentrating on my health as depression and anxiety govern the majority of my days and nights. This time of year is extremely difficult for me, so remaining on here would be problematical in any case.

It isn't even worth opening the curtains today as today is yet another day when the sky is not going to get light at any point.
Life would be far easier if i just hibernated, particularly since i can't afford to eat properly at the moment.
